performance art (cardboard) poster
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to create art as a business. These cardboard pieces are another addition to my vulnerable one-liners series, a series based off of words or sayings I can’t get out of my head.
The 24x36 version of this poster features an almost life sized version of the cardboard pieces.
This piece means whatever you think it means.
This poster comes in one other design, perspective.
The original cardboard paintings are available for purchase here.
Specs:
Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
Paper weight: 189 g/m²
Paper is sourced from Japan
Technique: acrylic and permanent marker on cardboard, digitized
Moment(s):
art as a business as performance art
art as performance
art for the sake of performance
performance of art
Thought starters:
a kind of weird addition to your gallery wall
to keep in your bedroom so that when you’re getting dressed, you can be reminded that life is a performance and you are the artist
perfect for your at-home office to help you achieve better work-life balance
Hot gossip:
After I sprayed these pieces with gloss varnish, the paint started to drip a bit… these pieces kind of had a performance of their own.
