lucky number 4 playing cards botanical painting poster
This project was an idea that I had during the “before time”, curious about what it would look like to paint flowers directly onto individual playing cards. Each real playing card is approximately 3.4 inches, meaning these oil paintings are quite small, but they pack a punch when displayed together. These paintings would make great subtle decor for gaming rooms, poker parties, or as a way to showcase your favorite numbers.
These sets feature the full “set” of each number per suit: spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs.
The 11x14 size of this design includes almost life-sized playing cards.
Specs:
Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
Paper weight: 189 g/m²
Paper is sourced from Japan
Technique: gesso + oil paint on plastic playing cards, digitized
Moment(s):
childhood sunlight
grandparents
apple pencil
Thought starters:
perfect for your poker/games room without it being too on the nose
put your angel number on display in your home (subtly)
buy a few for a significant date or year (example 1993)
Hot gossip:
According to card meanings/fortune telling, the 7 of Diamonds means “power/revolution”. This card is a particular favourite of mine from the full set and features this flower.
Note: mockups are size estimates and are not 100% accurate. Please take time to measure your space or frame for accuracy.
